Donal Bolger
Donal founded BLG in 1999 and is the managing partner of the business.
Donal has acted as Finance Director for a wide number of companies including a subsidiary of a leading Fortune 500, as well as major Irish and international brand companies. He has also been recommended and appointed as an independent director of companies supported by IDA and Enterprise Ireland.
Since BLG’s inception, Donal has successfully completed a number of high profile corporate finance transactions and corporate recoveries / turnarounds. Donal has also played a key role in the success of various Irish entities across a variety of industry sectors through the provision of BLG’s financial control services.
Donal is widely regarded as a leading advisor and negotiator in licensing deals for Irish and international entities.
Donal is regularly quoted in Irish and UK broadsheets and other publications. He has been credited through various business newspapers for the success of a number of high profile Irish business ventures that he managed through BLG.
Stephen Young
Stephen has worked at a senior level in both practice and industry in Ireland, the Middle East and Australia. Stephen heads up the Advisory practice at BLG.
The skills, experience and approach acquired by Stephen has given him a particular insight and advantage which is used to deliver outstanding solutions for clients.
At BLG, Stephen has assisted clients in fundraising, deleveraging, restructuring, and internationalisation of their businesses. Stephen also provides representative services in Ireland to a number of foreign entities.
Stephen’s clients are at the leading edge of their industries globally and Stephen is credited by these clients as being fundamental to their success.
Keith Young
Keith heads up the Family Office practice at BLG Young. He has almost 20 years’ experience advising and managing Irish and International clients in Private Banking, Wealth Management and Investment Banking.
As one of Ireland’s most experienced investment bankers, Keith has worked in Dublin, London, Geneva and Zurich for banks such as Credit Suisse, Nordea Bank, Rabobank and Bank of Ireland. Keith’s banking experience, contacts and client base provide our Family Office clients with a unique service offering.
Brian Devine
Brian heads up the corporate finance and private market investment analysis practice at BLG.
Brian started his career within the M&A division of the Irish Competition Authority before moving onto NCB Stockbrokers where he had a number of roles including Chief Economist, bank debt analyst and airlines equity analyst.
Brian spent 7 years with the multinational Digicel where he was involved in $6bn of debt/bank financings, IPO, M&A transactions and latterly as the CFO for their CPL subsidiary.
Prior to BLG, Brian was involved in advisory, fundraising and operations across a number of early stage businesses as both a co-founder and external advisor.
Brian has a BA in Economics from Trinity College Dublin, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA Charterholder.
